Virginia Robinson Gardens reinvented itself once again at this year’s Patron’s Gala, which honored longtime Friends member and past president Julia Klein and her husband, Dr. Andrew Klein, with the Spirit of Beverly Hills Award. “The fact that I can be a part of this incredible organization and part of this incredible group of women, I’m so honored and it inspires me,” Julia said when accepting the award. “We have made so much of an impact on so many people, especially the children. When you become a part of this organization, what you get is so incredibly special.” Held on the warm Saturday evening of September 14, 2019, this perfect summer soiree began with a fabulous cocktail hour, the magical rays of the setting sun adding a golden hue to the glorious gardens. Julia is a past Vice President and President of the Friends of Robinson Gardens. Dr. Klein is the Director of the Comprehensive Transplant Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Together they are a dynamic, dedicated, and exceptional team who has given much time and generous support not only to the Friends, but also to the community. Andrew Klein, M.D., M.B.A. F.A.C.S Dr. Andrew Klein is the Esther and Mark Schulman Chair in Surgery and Transplant Medicine, Vice Chairman of the Department of Surgery and Director of Comprehensive Transplant Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.
