We want to let you know about these very talented designers, their inspirations, and their creations. This month, we are featuring florist George Martinez, owner of George’s Garden. At the 2018 Garden Tour, George created an exceptional floral display with purple and burgundy snapdragons, lush peonies and roses, viburnum, and other flowers on the Pool Pavilion balcony. This stunning and exuberant arrangement, adorning the balustrades, was the favorite backdrop for photos that day. We asked George these five questions

Our Garden Tour Star Suzanne Rheinstein

Each month we are highlighting “Our Garden Tour Stars” -- landscape architects, florists, and interior designers who have participated in our annual Garden Tour and Showcase Estate at the Virginia Robinson Gardens. We want to let you know about these very talented designers, their inspirations, and their creations. This month, we are honored to be featuring internationally renowned interior designer Suzanne Rheinstein. Her work has been published in numerous lifestyle magazines, such as Architectural Digest and Elle Décor, where she has been included on the AD100 and A-List, respectively. Suzanne was included in Elle Décor’s debut of its Titans honor roll, which celebrates two dozen exceptionally influential talents. She has written two best-selling books, At Home: A Style for Today with Things from the Past and Rooms for Living. A longtime board member of the Garden Conservancy, Suzanne presented a lecture for the Friends on the Conservancy. She also generously hosted the Fellows for a tour of her beautiful Hancock Park home and garden. Suzanne has designed several rooms at VRG for Garden Tour where she also held a book signing. In addition to the beautiful gardens she has designed on Garden Tour, she was featured in a fabulous documentary, “Women in the Dirt: Landscape Architects Shaping Our World,” which was screened twice at the Virginia Robinson Gardens for our members. She also took the Friends on a wonderful tour of two of her projects, the Los Angeles River Revitalization Master Plan and the Beverly Gardens Park on Santa Monica Boulevard in Beverly Hills. As a result of that meeting, several of her gardens, including her former garden in Bel Air, have been part of the annual …Into the Garden Tours. Corey and Luis Agramon are the owners of Sweet Peas Custom Floral. Corey assisted the Martha Stewart weddings shoot at VRG with Sophia Vergara on the cover of the magazine. The Friends had the good fortune to be introduced to Corey through our distinguished Angel member, Dorothy Kamins, a client of his weekly residential floral service.
