This month, we spotlight JC Griffith, our great IT expert. JC has worked tirelessly for the Friends.  He works with our fantastic Patty Elias who has organized and revamped our website with so much flair and style. In addition to working on the Happenings with the editor Linda Meadows, he works with our wonderful President Betty Goldstein, fabulous Jeanne Anderson and amazing Education co-chair Clare Wagner on many emails and invitations. We are so appreciative of JC’s wonderful work and all his efforts for the Happenings, website, and invitations to make them look so professional, polished, and beautiful

This month, we spotlight Lara Roman, a docent and dedicated Friends of Robinson Gardens member. A corporate lawyer, Lara is a native of Germany. As her father was a diplomat and an ambassador, she lived in various countries and speaks fluent French, Spanish, German, and English. We asked her these three questions

We want to let you know about these wonderful people and corporations that give so much to the Virginia Robinson Gardens and to the community, and what they do that is so impactful. This month, we spotlight Katie Marsano, a wonderful Friends of Robinson Gardens member. While working in admissions in a New England prep school, she was also a track and cross-country coach. Katie relocated to Los Angeles from Boston seven years ago. She was active in a Garden Club in the Boston area, where she participated in flower arranging competitions in the traditional Western-style. She also designed and created floral arrangements for many private events as well as for the weddings of friends. She then discovered Ikebana when she traveled with her husband to Japan, where she spent long stretches of time in Tokyo. We asked her these four questions

This month, we spotlight Suz Landay, a docent and wonderful and dedicated longtime Friends of Robinson Gardens Member. Suz is a regular and much-loved van hostess for Garden Tour. An amazing botanical artist and calligrapher, she made the sign for the “Succulent Nurse,” a floral tribute the Friends created and installed at the Healing Gardens at Cedars-Sinai in June 2020 to honor our medical heroes.
