Experience the Grandest Garden Tour of Southern California~Legendary Beverly Hills Garden Tour and Showcase Estate

Friends of Robinson Gardens is gearing up for its annual Garden Tour on Saturday, May 20th, from 10AM to 4PM. This year’s theme, “Legendary Beverly Hills” will showcase four historic estates in Beverly Hills. Almost all of the estates have that golden era Hollywood connection. All are large properties so come prepared with comfy shoes and your best floral hat. Our bonus house for our VIP and Concierge guests is a majestic Beaux-Arts mansion on Sunset Boulevard with formal gardens, rose parterres, vegetable and herb gardens and manicured orange groves. The sensual aromas and striking architecture is a feast for the senses.

Following the theme of Legendary Beverly Hills, The Kitchen for Exploring Foods is duplicating many of the famous dishes from famed Beverly Hills eateries of yesteryear – such as “The Beverly Hills Hotel” Mc Carthy Salad, French Served “Kate Mantillini” Grilled Steak Sandwich, “Konditori” Poached Salmon, “Spago” Chino Chopped Vegetable Salad, “Scandia” Parmesan Cheese Toasts & Twists, and “Dolores” Suzy Q Curly French Fries with Ketchup. Dessert favorites will include “Blum’s” Coffee Crunch Cake & Coconut Cake, “Schwab’s Pharmacy” Fudge Brownies, Strawberries “Romanoff,” and “Bullock’s Wilshire Tea Room” Lemon Bars.

This year we are proud to be honoring investor and philanthropist Ron Burkle who will be serving as our Grand Marshal. Mr. Burkle has been a great friend and supporter of Virginia Robinson Gardens over the years and has lent his own legendary home, Greenacres, the former Harold Lloyd estate, for the garden tour in years past.

In the kitchen we have Mama An from the renowned Crustacean Restaurant who will be cooking up her famous Garlic noodles and signing her latest cookbook. As always Los Angeles’ top room and floral designers will be transforming the interiors of the Virginia Robinson mansion to delight and inspire our guests. Look for designs from Eric Butterbaugh, Inner Gardens, Brad Austin, Sweet Pea, Frette, Carrie Livingston, Lladro, Christofle, Zale Design Studio, Grande Maison de Blanc and many many more!

This year’s fashion partner, Theory, will be providing a runway show featuring their latest and trendsetting styles. Many of our members recently attended a shopping event at the Theory showroom in West Hollywood and were quite taken with this year’s designs. Our members were quite giddy with their new additions to their summer wardrobe. Look for the Theory Boutique in the Billiards Room at the back of the Pool Pavilion. Joining Theory in our Branded Boutique this year will be Jo Malone with a fragrance bar featuring their most popular scents. Bobbi Brown will provide free touch ups and make up tips, and Nini Jewels will be displaying their exquisite jewelry line.

On the Tennis Court is the Boutique Village featuring a curated array of new and returning beloved vendors. Look for resort wear from Italy, cutting edge workout wear you won’t see anywhere else, monogrammed antique silver, colorful exotic skin clutch bags, chic pet accessories, stylish summer sandals, vintage designer handbags and accessories, homeware and tabletop decor, our resell Friends Boutique and loads of fashion for every age and size.

Don’t miss out on this year’s Treasure Hunt with a chance to find this valuable jeweled floral pendant necklace graciously donated by Nini Jewels! Choose a flag from the Meadow Lawn and see if it leads to the buried beauty. Tickets are available for purchase the day of the event. The Treasure Hunt will take place at 3:00PM. The Opportunity Drawing will take place at 3:30PM with chances to take home beautiful and bountiful baskets of goodies!

We are excited to have you as our guests to this year’s Legendary Beverly Hills Garden Tour!
