June 24th, 2023, was a lovely Saturday evening, and my husband Peter Del Rosso and I were delighted to host an Angel, Benefactor & Patron Members Dinner in our home in Brentwood. The evening began with music in our Living Room. Lynn Hutchinson, a composer & pianist, played piano, accompanied by her very talented 14-year-old daughter Sadie who played the violin. This was a very special moment that we were excited to be a part of.
The music carried through our Living Room out to the garden where we were served delicious appetizers by Sean Murphy Catering & Events. Thai Vegetable Spring Rolls, Crispy Five Spice Cauliflower Tempura, and a Caprese Crisp were passed on trays. Sean never disappoints in presentation, service, and taste.
We then moved to the Back Garden where a sit-down, 3-course dinner was served. We enjoyed Pepper Crusted Irish Salmon with Spinach, Fingerling Potatoes, and a Truffle Red Wine Sauce; Citrus Braised Chicken with Artichokes, Crushed Fingerling Potatoes, and a Fennel Broth; and a Roasted Banana Tart with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, Rum Caramel & Chocolate Sauce, and Cornflake Crunch Marshmallow Chocolate Chip Cookies and Lemon Crinkles.
The tables were beautiful with floral arrangements designed and provided by Jeanne Anderson, which were given as favors to our guests who so generously support our beloved Robinson Gardens. The lovely meal with the beautiful flowers made the evening…
Benefactor member Lori Gordon said, “The evening was a wonderful blend of music, sumptuous food and drink, and fellowship for all the members who attended. The delightful mother/daughter piano/violin duo that entertained during cocktails was a special treat. I, for one, am very appreciative that Janice opened her home and exquisite gardens for this most memorable night.”
It was difficult to say Good Night! We look forward to another evening to host this lovely group.
