The Friends of Robinson Gardens’ “Moonlight and Roses” annual Patron Gala, held on Saturday, September 12, 2015, would have made Mrs. Virginia Robinson proud. Her six and one-half acre historic estate remains the perfect place for an elegant party.
Walking on a path of rose petals, the arriving guests wound their way past the Green House to the Great Lawn. Wine and champagne flowed as everyone surveyed the silent auction items.
The butler announced dinner and guests proceeded to their tables. Lavish bouquets of pink roses, a favorite flower of Mrs. Robinson, adorned each table.
Highlights of the evening were the honorees, Marcia Wilson Hobbs, receiving the Spirit of Beverly Hills Award, and Tim Lindsay, who received the Garden Champion Award.
Guests danced under the stars late into the evening to the music of Art Deco.
The event successfully raised funds to help with much-needed improvements on the property.
