On Saturday May 17, the Friends of Robinson Gardens held their 26th annual Garden Tour benefit. After visiting 4 private gardens on the west side, guests were welcomed back at Robinson Gardens. Beverly Hills’ first estate was then the setting for an afternoon of “Pathways to Paradise.”
Our Grand Marshall Hutton Wilkinson set the tone with his fabulous designs on the Loggia, with stunning floral design by Brad Austin. The entire home was filled with many of LA’s most accomplished designers and florists. Guests were able to enjoy viewing their spectacular creations on the only day of the year that the house is open for touring.
An elegant luncheon on the Grand Lawn was held under the tent, catered by The Kitchen for Exploring Foods. Following lunch, Marc Byrd held a flower arranging class. Trina Turk fashions were informally modeled, and the Friends Boutique on the Tennis Court had 30 vendors for everyone’s shopping pleasure.
It was a beautiful and successful day. The 2014 Garden Tour raised more money for the restoration and maintenance of Robinson Gardens than any previous Garden Tour benefit. The Friends would like to thank our Sponsors, our Partners, and Underwriters for their participation and support of this remarkable event.
