Society Members Family Day for new members and guests was on a very warm Saturday, August 6, 2022. Food and refreshments like iced tea were available as everyone gathered in the shade of the Pool Pavilion Solarium.
Members Relations & Administrative Manager Barbara Remedios gave an overview of the mission of the Friends of Virginia Robinson Gardens, the Children’s Science Program, and events available related to architecture, horticulture, and the history of Los Angeles and Beverly Hills.
Recreation Service Leader Michael Fricke led a tour around the five gardens. New members and guests enjoyed a cool breeze from the terrazzo while overlooking the Italian Terrace Garden. A glimpse into the Library, Golden Salon, and Dining Room inspired a lot of curiosity and questions.
Everyone was awestruck on the tour and engaged as a group, but also had a chance to be in the moment with their guests. One new member likened her tour to a VIP experience.
