Each month we will spotlight a volunteer, staff member, donor or sponsor of Virginia Robinson Gardens (VRG)—those that have made an impact on the organization. We want to let you, the reader, know a little bit about these wonderful people and corporations that give so much to the Virginia Robinson Gardens and community, and what they do that is so impactful.
This month, we spotlight Kathy Choi, a dedicated Friend of Robinson Gardens and Board Member. Kathy is co-chairing along with Keeley Smith our 2019 Garden Tour – Oh! Naturale.
We asked her these three questions:
1. How did you first learn about VRG and what inspired you to become a Friend?
Julia Klein was my next door neighbor. She invited me to Garden Tour when she was President, and once I met other Friends, I knew I would be part of this organization for a long time.
2. What’s your role – How do you contribute to VRG?
Currently, I am on the Executive Board and find myself involved in many different ways from marketing, to new membership, and of course, Garden Tour.
3. Can you share a favorite VRG memory with us?
Anytime I get a chance to travel with the Friends, it is such a treat! San Francisco, Newport, Rhode Island, and I’m really looking forward to the trip to Connecticut in June.
